The Tea Dragon Tapestry

Greta is training hard to become an apprentice to a master blacksmith. Meanwhile, she’s worried that Ginseng (her tea dragon) has not grown any leaves. Ginseng still grieves for its old owner. The story continues from ‘The Tea Dragon Society’ and new enchanting characters are introduced. Minette, the prophetess is often getting glimpses from her ancestor and longs to return to the monastery. The tapestry she receives from the monastery fails to bring back memories of that place. Greta learns to take care of a grieving being. Rinn and Aedhan return from the book ‘The Tea Dragon Festival’ to help Minette find the lost purpose in her life.

“When someone is grieving, the best thing you can do is let them heal on their own, and show them that you’ll be there for them.”

The author has beautifully woven a story with the message taken from the second book. The trilogy comes whole as a tapestry. The illustrations transform you into the habitat of the tea dragons. The only shortcoming of ‘The Tea Dragon Tapestry’ was it had too many sub plots to tie up the loose ends. My key takeaway from this book was importance of moving on and embracing change no matter whatever the circumstances maybe.

“If there is anyone who knows how it feels to have their life’s purpose change in a drastic way, it is Erik.”
