Food tastes like home. ‘The Tea Dragon Festival’ incorporates that feeling successfully into the form of a heart fluttering story that will bring you more closer to home.

In a spin-off to ‘The Tea Dragon Society’, we come across a village decked up for a ‘Tea Dragon Festival’. There is Rinn, who is an aspiring cook and knows every nook and corner of the forest to find the veggies. We see more of Hesekeil and Erik and learn that, Rinn is the latter’s niece. A lot of facts unearth about tea dragons that bring us to the conclusion that they are domesticated version of wild dragons.Hesekeil and Erik are on the lookout for a mysterious spirit that put Aedhan, the dragon to sleep for eighty years. The story dates before Erik was restricted to a wheel chair.

This graphic novel comprises of characters belonging to under-represented communities like POC, LGBTQ and Disability. There are certain points in the book when Rinn communicates with Lesa, the head cook in sign language. The illustrations depict picturesque mountain tops and flora and fauna of the region. The tea dragon festival comes alive in full glory with bright colouring.
