Review:
The appealing cover arouses the curiosity of the reader regarding the plot.
The author has an eye for detail. The location of the scenes, the interior and exterior of buildings the smallest of the intricacies have been subtly described such that you can visualise the story coming to life. Several instances in the book regarding crime and law have been given alongside well researched facts and figures.
The dialogues are impactful and deliver a solid punch. Even though there is no comprehensive character sketch, the characters talk effectively. The strong women characters outshined their male counterparts. Even the shadiest of the personalities (private investigator D.K Pentium) is charming. The events such as the brutal rape of Baby, ordeal of her mother- Gayatri, motherly affection of Priti Diwan towards Baby are written with so much conviction that you will be moved.
As the story proceeds, the author also gives useful insights about the functioning of the judiciary. The writing is lucid and the vocabulary is at par. I didn’t like the turn of events in the end, the epilogue was predictable. But its narration is excellent.
One of the best legal thrillers of the year, highly recommended to people who are fans of crime-fiction, thrillers and anyone who enjoy a good read.

Sounds like a good read. It’s a shame I don’t get much time to read books these days.

Yeah it is. You should check it out. The main problem for me is I have too many unfinished books. Like Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
