A Christmas Carol

“I will live in the Past, Present and The Future. The spirits of all three shall strive within me”

Old snooty Uncle Scrooge despises Christmas so much that he wishes ‘Good Afternoon’ on the festive occasion. One fine day when he was packing up on the eve of Christmas, he’s greeted by the spirit of his partner, Jacob Marley. Marley tells him that he will be greeted by three more spirits when the clock strikes one.

Ebenezer Scrooge who doesn’t like Christmas, shivers at the sight of his partner’s spirit. The spirits take him on a journey of fulfilment during the time of Christmas. Scrooge who’s perceived to be cold at heart melts at the sight of his Christmas memories.

“He had been sobbing violently in his conflict with the spirit, and his face was wet with tears”

The first spirit (Ghost of Christmas Past) taught him about love, the second one (Ghost of Christmas Present) taught him kindness and the last (Phantom – Ghost of Christmas Present) taught him life through death.

“His own heart laughed; and that was quite enough for him”

  1. It has been a long time since I read this one. Decades probably, but I have some good memories with it. I hope you are doing well. I am getting back to blogging after a long break, hope it sticks!
