The Ramayana is not a story. It’s a way of life. It’s the game of life.

Life is a constant reminder that nothing, however powerful in one season, remains unchanging. The endless cycles of change can truly us if we are unprepared to face its realities. However, we often see these changing times as problems larger than they really are. Many issues in life when perceived with fear, result in pain; but when perceived with CLARITY, result is FREEDOM.

Situations of helplessness are almost always created by our own limited imagination.

Do you have the courage to face your fears?
Stand Strong, the fourth book in Ramayana: The Game of Life series reminds us through its eternal stories — such as the tale of brothers Vali and Sugriva — that life is like a high-risk treasure hunt: one often has to walk through a maze of confusing paths while being chased by dangerously complex dilemmas to find the hidden treasure of wisdom.

Review:

Scriptures have so much wisdom ensconced in them. Often, we are intimidated by their magnanimous volume, that we do not bother to read them in detail. Therefore the messages underneath them remain hidden forever. But the solutions to life’s numerous problems lie in the scriptures.

‘Stand Strong ‘ is a modernized narration of Kishkinda Kanda. Kishkinda Kanda narrates episodes on the ordeal of Lord Rama trying to assess Sita’s whereabouts, defeat of the egoistic king Vali and the fulfillment of Hanuman’s pursuit of seeking his true master.

The narration is subtle and powerful enough to create ripples of change in your life. The reasons for the major decisions undertaken by Lord Rama are enunciated at the end of the chapters. Relatively lesser known tales are narrated in first person perspective of the characters. The loyalty of Lakshmana and the devotion of Hanuman towards Rama are articulated beautifully with the help of Sanskrit verses and monologues. Unsung heroes emerge in the course of the story. The footnotes given at the end of the page are pearls of wisdom. The cover is aesthetically pleasing, radiating positive vibes. The language is lucid and brings out the author’s literary prowess. At no point, you will feel bored but will be carried away by the riveting stories.

‘Stand Strong’ projects a new perspective on life and offers insights on overcoming various challenges thrown at us. It also  emphasises how lessons of Ramayana can be implemented in real life. The book doesn’t glorify a specific religion but rather preaches the teachings of the epic.
