Clouds of the Mind

I’m strolling in my garden quietly,
When sad thoughts have accumulated on the canvas of my mind,
Just like the dark clouds in the sky.
And lo! There’s a downpour.
Not a heavy one, but a pleasant drizzle.
Something like happy tears.
I shield myself from the strokes,
And run towards the porch.
Suddenly, there’s an heavy outburst.

I look around the garden, when I see;
The jasmine plant swaying in delight.
The mango tree shedding some of its fruits in joy.
The leaves, the petals of the hibiscus and the peacock flower have formed
A carpet of myriad colours.
I walk on it, feeling the spring
Beneath my feet.

The showers have stopped.
I glance at the clear sky.
The clouds are no longer there
And so are my thoughts.

Amazing poem. :). Love that you are comparing your emotions with the nature. The nature can definitely teach us a lot of things about life. :). As our emotions will all pass, just like after the rain comes the rainbow along with the sun peering through the clouded sky :). Your poem is beautifully written, aparna_097, keep up the good work :). it would be great if you could drop by to my blogs as well.. Looking forward to more of your work.
