Tears

Tears have taste unlike water;
They taste of guilt, sorrow or happiness.
The stream of feelings in the
pathway of the heart
Emerge from the eyes as tears.
Sometimes they also speak the language of trapped emotions
Demanding to be heard.
But what about those people who have deep scars in the pathway of the heart?
Lucky are the people who can cry.

  1. Jen says:

    I was unable to cry for most of my life. I remember crying when I was about six. Then, the next time I cried I was in therapy at 42. Those who can cry are not weak, by any mean. It takes a strong person to release the true feelings behind the anger and resentment built up. Your poem is indescribably accurate.
    Oh! And I reblogged it. 😀
